In 2011, owner Bill Hanf founded Green Mountain Avionics at the Middlebury State Airport to provide high-quality avionics and systems installation, inspection, troubleshooting and repair.

Under Bill's supervision, a number of talented full-time technicians work on a range of aircraft, including fixed wing and helicopter. Each installation is a custom job, and Bill's team brings the expertise to treat them as such.

Avionics technology is always advancing, and Green Mountain Avionics is committed to educating clients about the most recent regulations and available technology. To this end, we offer clients the opportunity to learn the latest systems in our company Cessna 172. The plane is equipped with top of the line avionics, all of which we regularly install.

We also use the company aircraft to fly to other airports to perform off-site service. It allows us to give our clients increased flexibility and to provide timely AOG support. This unique component of our business reflects our commitment to clients and our understanding of their needs when it comes to prompt and high-quality service.

Green Mountain Avionics has routinely been recognized for excellent service and workmanship since its establishment.

The company received Garmin Awards for Outstanding Service in 2012, 2013, and 2014; the FAA Avionics Technician of the Year Award in 2013, and was named Vermont's Veteran-Owned Business of the Year in 2015.
