I am a Designated Pilot Examiner, four-time NAFI Master Instructor, CFI, CFII, MEI, CFI-G, AGI, IGI, FAA Gold Seal Instructor and FAASTeam Lead Representative. I hold an ATP certificate and in 2019 was honored to receive the National FAASTeam Representative of the Year award. I've held officer positions in and am actively involved with several aviation organizations. Currently a Major in the Civil Air Patrol, I serve as a CAP volunteer flight instructor, check pilot, examiner, mission pilot and cadet orientation pilot. I'm also involved with EAA as an IMC Club Coordinator, an EAA Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC) Flight Instructor on Redbirds, and for ten years have served on the PPC organizing/management team. I am Chair of the National Association of Flight Instructors. As a flight instructor, I am focused on safety and a thorough, enjoyable, teamwork-oriented approach to training.
